Another year of inactivity. Thankfully, I gots myself a new scanner and might make a sprite comic or two if I get too lazy to draw. Sadly it seems that my drawing style has gotten worse over the past year. Fortunately I have more spare time than I have in the past and might be able to push that style back up to mediocre.

Now for the quick recap of what happened since my last journal update a year ago: some celebrities and a guy who could sell me cancer died; E3 finally stopped sucking; Golden Sun 3 announced!!!; Square released a Smash Bros rip-off (which is actually pretty fun); Soul Caliber IV's character creation mode ruined many of my childhood memories (and I ruined others' childhood memories too).

Also in current events Jeremy "Norm" Scott, the creator of the Hsu and Chan comics that originally appeared in Electronic Gaming Monthly about 10 years ago, and and has about 8 or 9 books published by Slave Labor Graphics finally, ended his 1UP.com blog at the beginning of this month, officially ending on Hsu and Chan's 10th anniversary. I loved the comic and Norm's sense of humor since I saw the "Pocket Morons" episode in my new copy of EGM back in '99. Thankfully the comic itself will most likely continue having Slave Labor Graphics releases as well as updates on Norm's site ([link]) (GO THERE AND BE AMAZED!).

Anyway as I mentioned before, there's a new Golden Sun coming, as well as 2 new Mario games, a new Metroid, 2 Zelda games, and remakes of Pokemon Gold and Silver (yes I'm one of those people who liked Generation 2 the best). It's as if Nintendo decided to give the middle finger to everyone on the internet who claims that "Nintendo systems have no games." or "Nintendo only makes casual games." Though there's still no word of Kirby Wii or Pikmin 3. Either way YAY NEW GOLDEN SUN!
